Our Programmes

Working Alongside Communities, Building Stronger Futures

As a refugee-led organization, Children Relief Service (CRS) works alongside refugee and host communities to protect children, empower youth and girls, strengthen food security, and support vulnerable families through community-driven solutions. Together with communities, partners, and local institutions, we create safe, inclusive, and sustainable opportunities where children, youth, and families can thrive.

Stories of Impact

Behind every programme is a story of courage, resilience, and transformation. Through our work with children, youth, women, and families, CRS continues to create opportunities that help communities build safer and more hopeful futures.

From Learning Barriers to Educational Success

Through the CRS English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Bridging Programme, Shukrani Denise overcame language barriers that once limited her educational opportunities. With improved English skills and renewed confidence, she completed secondary school and is preparing to begin her university studies in Sept 2026.

Empowering Girls to Inspire Change

Save Jonamu’s journey began as a student in CRS vocational training and grew into leadership and mentorship. Today, she gives back as a vocational training mentor, inspiring and supporting girls to develop useful skills through entrepreneurship, become self-reliant, build confidence, and achieve their dreams.

From Support to Self-Reliance and Livelihood

Through the CRS Feed the Hungry and Food Security for Sustainable Livelihoods Programme, this mother developed abilities to cultivate healthy food, start an enterprise, and generate earnings. Today, she is building a healthier tomorrow, with improved nutrition and opportunities for her youngsters to flourish.

9. Why Our Programmes Matter

Refugee and host communities continue to face significant challenges, including limited access to quality education, child protection concerns, food insecurity, unemployment, gender-based violence, and restricted livelihood opportunities. Through integrated, community-driven programmes, CRS works to address these challenges while empowering individuals and communities to become safer, stronger, and more self-reliant.
