A Girl’s Journey from Training to Mentorship
Save Jonamu participated in a CRS vocational training programme and developed practical skills that transformed her future. Today, she serves as a vocational training mentor, helping other girls gain the confidence, skills, and opportunities they need to build independent and sustainable livelihoods. Her journey reflects the lasting impact of investing in girls and empowering communities from within.
Vanessa’s Journey to Academic Success
Through CRS’s English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Bridging Program, Vanessa gained the English skills she needed to overcome language barriers and continue her education. Before joining the program, she struggled to communicate in English, limiting her learning opportunities. Today, she is confidently studying in Form 3 and building a brighter future, proving that access to quality education can transform a child’s life.
A Mother’s Path to Self-Reliance
What began as support became a pathway to independence. Through CRS’s Food Security & Sustainable Livelihoods Programme, this mother now grows nutritious food, runs a small business, earns a stable income, and is building a healthier, self-reliant future. Her journey shows how opportunity creates lasting change.
Young Women Building Brighter Futures
Young women supported through CRS vocational skills training are now running small businesses, earning sustainable incomes, and improving their households’ well-being. Their success demonstrates how practical skills can create lasting economic independence and strengthen entire communities.
